CHALLENGER DRILLING INC Employees Help Build Home for Northwest Harris County Family
Houston, Texas — September 2013

To mark the National Month of Service, employees from Challenger Drilling, Inc volunteered with Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County to build a house for a family.
Volunteers joined together at Hamill Crossing, a neighborhood entirely designed and built by Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County, to help build homes for low-income families. It is located at the north east corner of Champion Forest Dr. and W. Richey Rd. Together, the volunteers helped with everything from caulking, painting and planting sod in the entire front, back and side yard of a home that was under construction. This home was set for dedication to the new homeowner’s that very weekend.
“We’re proud that members of our team took a day out of the office and field to help a local family, which truly exemplifies the spirit of Service,” said Jeff Lutz, Executive Vice President of Challenger Drilling, Inc. “Volunteer events like today have become a standard at Challenger and are just one example of how Challenger gives back to worthy organizations. Challenger donates volunteer time and resources to a variety of similar organizations as well as the communities where employees live and work. We are already scheduled and looking forward to our next volunteer day with Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County.”
